Max Steven Grossman Biography
Max Steven Grossman was born in Barranquilla, Colombia in 1971. He originally studied engineering and graduated from the University of Philadelphia in 1994. Soon after he discovered his passion in life for photography. In 2000, Max Steven graduated from New York University and the International Center of Photography with a Master of Arts specializing in photography. The two diverse studies of engineering and the arts have helped to mold the creative photography of Grossman into a study of reality and imagination.
Grossman meticulously composes unique combinations of various books and albums on shelves, transporting viewers to momentarily absorb themselves in the stillness of his assembled "libraries". Through the use of treasured book titles and references to iconic themes, he captures echoes of conclaves amidst the books, rendering personal conversations they evoke in observers anew with each viewing. By chronicling books as portals for curiosity, he redefines them into visual art.

He has also exhibited extensively in fairs and foundations internationally such as Switzerland, Panama, Hong Kong and Spain.
